Hello! My name is Christina Weaver & I am the founder & owner of Nova Counseling, LLC. I have worked in mental health for 10 years and my experience spans from community mental health to private practice, as well as supervision.
My passion is for building strong relationships with clients that is rooted in acceptance & respect. I will tailor your counseling experience to your specific needs in a way that is therapeutic, but also makes sense in your life. I enjoy blending humor with theoretical practices as we work towards your goals.
Coming to counseling is a brave & challenging step, but one that you will not be alone on. I am here to walk with you on this path to healing, & look forward to working with you!

Christina Weaver, LPCC-S (she/her)
I received my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron & am a licensed clinical counselor in the state of Ohio & South Carolina with supervisor designation and 10 years of experience. I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) & have experience with narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, Gestalt, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, & more. I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

At Nova Counseling, I believe that your path to wellness is unique to you. Counseling sessions will be rooted in theoretical orientation, but also with personalized techniques to help you meet your goals in ways that make sense in your life.
I work with clients ages 13+ struggling with: sexual abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, adoption, adjustment disorders, partner/spouse issues, PCOS/hormone issues, transgender concerns in youth & adults, & the LGBTQIA+ community.
Individual sessions are offered virtually through HIPAA compliant software.

I believe that counseling should be as accessible as possible to all, & I am happy to share that I offer several options to help with this. I offer self pay (with sliding scale opportunities if applicable), & I am paneled with several insurances.
